of 19 frets.  The neck is carved from one
piece of Honduran Mahogany and is
reinforced with a graphite truss rod for
strength and stability.  It is joined to the
body at the 14th fret using a traditional
Spanish Heel.  This method of attaching
with the body and I believe increases the
involvement of the neck in the production
of sound, and particularly sustain, of the
instrument.  (Actually, the graphite truss
rod also contributes to this effect.)  The
ebony fingerboard which has Mother of

enhance playability and for asthetics.

Red Spruce Tenor
This is an interesting instrument in that
the top is one piece of Adirondack
Spruce (Red Spruce).  This wood is
highly prized by guitar builders, but it is
unusual to find an ukulele built with it.  I
think part of the reason for this is that it
is expensive and, of course, it's not a
native Hawaiian wood.

The back and sides are curly koa that
have a rich, dark color and nice grain
pattern.  The neck is old Honduran
Mahogany that has been reinforced
with a carbon fiber truss rod and joined
to the body at the fourteenth fret.
There are 19 frets total.The "R" and
